Eliana’s Bat Mitzvah

Hi, I’m Eliana.

Last year, when my great-grandmother Gonnie was in the hospital, I spent a lot of time visiting her. While I was there, I saw people coming in to cheer up the patients, and it really inspired me. Something as simple as singing, bringing a puppy to play with, or just sitting and talking could completely light up someone’s face and bring them a smile.

For my Bat Mitzvah project, I wanted to support a cause that reflects the values I’m learning and the person I hope to become. I chose to work with Healing Hearts in South Florida because they support individuals and families going through difficult times with compassion, connection, and care.
